Auf einem ehemaligen Braunkohletagebau errichtet. Junger Baumbestand, der trotzdem immer wieder im Weg ist. Die Fairways werde beregnet, daher auch im heißen Sommer 2019 in gutem Zustand.

Golfplatz liegt auf zwei Ebenen. Auf den ersten Neun und den zweiten Neun gibt es jeweils ein Par 3 mit großer Höhendifferenz.

Golf Club Sokolov

Not far from the German border, golf course architect Christopher Städler has built an 18-hole championship course. It is located in the formerly monotonous "lunar landscape" of a former open-cast lignite mine. The slightly hilly terrain resembles a Scottish links course with its wide greens, deep bunkers, wide fairways and the accompanying wind.
